If you are travelling to Austin together with your young family, one of the must-places that you should visit is the Children’s Austin Museum. Bringing your kids here is a sure fun and adventure. The Children’s Austin Museum has a great range of interactive exhibits, science demonstrations, workshops, camps and other special displays. With all these in place, the opportunity for some informal learning abounds. There are also early childhood programs, cultural events and educational resources that can be viewed. What’s so fascinating is that there are volunteer opportunities that the children can participate in and even interesting birthday party group tours that can be taken advantage. During the Holidays, activities such as storytelling and gingerbread house decorating can also be done.

The Austin’s Children Museum first opened in 1983.The aim of this institution is to provide brand-new, fresh and innovative learning experiences for kids usually 12 years old and below. The place is located in 201 Colorado Street. This city location is absolutely great as you have close access to the many shops, restaurants and eateries, where you can bring your family after your fun and exhausting museum visit.

The museum is open Tuesdays to Saturday from 10am to 5pm and on Sundays from noon to 5pm. Visiting children under 12 months are admitted free while children 12 to 23months old has an admission fee of $4.50 and  2years old and up is $6.50. Adults will have to pay the entrance fee of $6.50.
